John Neville
Barcock:
The award of my BSc. degree in Printing at Watford College was through
the CNAA, the Council for National Academic Awards.
This was the awarding body at that time for degree courses run at
Colleges outside the University education system.
The Conferment of degrees took place at Watford College on 1.12.1972,.
It was part of a ceremony for all the major
awards of the year.
There were only 10 of us receiving our degrees
as in the section of the programme below;
My wife Diane and my Father and Mother attended and I was very proud to
have them there.
There were official photos but the photographer had a disaster and
messed mine up!
Fortunately, the local newspaper, the "Watford
Observer" took a picture of our group and I got the copy below
from them;

Richard
Steven
Barcock Artistic works.
Richard, my son, has become a successful muralist. This is
the art of decorating walls with murals in houses and public places.
Michael Angelo is the master of this art of course.
Richard studied art at Amersham College and Design at
the London Institute and later started to develop his mural painting
ability when he painted walls and ceilings in a large
private house in Henley after the style of Michael Angelo. He was able
to show this example of his work to Henry van der Vijver and became
part of his team at HVArt.
Examples
of his work can be seen there in the Murals and Trompe L'Oeil section.
Here is a mural he painted at a Saudi Palace in the style of the
Alahambra;
